Intern/Contributor

Art Observed (www.artobserved.com) is a global art news website that is seeking an entrepreneurial-minded intern for various tasks related to editorial production and business development. Our site has well into the six figures of impressions per month of perhaps one of the most desired demographics on the web and generates revenue primarily through ad sales.  The site has over 100,000 followers on Twitter and roughly 200,000 followers on instagram.  We are currently investigating the viability of e-commerce platforms and there may be opportunities to assist with this as well.  We believe that for the right applicant, we can increase that applicant’s exposure within the art world through our now well-established channels.

An interest and knowledge of social media, e-commerce, and WordPress are a plus, but a knowledge of contemporary art is also very helpful. That said our site affords access into the art world that is relatively difficult to obtain elsewhere. There are options available for a revenue share of our current income stream, which at this point comes primarily from advertising but will expand this year.

The company works out of duplex full floor penthouse loft in Soho and there is the opportunity to travel for business development and partnership opportunities. We feel we foster an ethical, creative, informal yet challenging environment.  We really believe in giving people responsibility and helping them to grow.

Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates with a high degree of motivation, accuracy, diplomacy, and professionalism in addition to a working knowledge of the contemporary art world.

Please send cover letter and resume to info@artobserved.com with subject “AO Internship.”
